dc.description.abstractThe study about the parliamentary elections in Kingdom of Jordan since the beginning of the parliamentary elections in 1928 to the last election in 2016, the framework of the legal descriptive study was able to understand the electoral laws, in order to determine the impact of the social and political circumstances of the State and the implications of this on the formation of parliaments, political life and democratic transformation in Jordan. The study concluded that most of the electoral laws were expressing the principle of the nation sovereignty, which allows the establishment of conditions on the general election as a restricted vote, in addition to the its impact on traditional political culture and its strengthening the tribal nature, which increased its role in the elections and quota policy, in the absence or contraction the role of civil and political organizations and their national programs. In addition to its emphasis on the relationship between each law of election and the circumstances of the political regime and its dealing with the internal and external variables.en_US
